Los Angeles, CA- Comedian Kevin Hart and actor Orlando Brown got into trouble with the law this past week after both arrested for drunk driving this month.

Kevin Hart was busted early Sunday morning, around 4:30 a.m., when a police officer saw him speeding along Highway 101 in Los Angeles. When the officer pulled Hart over, the “Real Housewives of Hollywood” star almost crashed into a gas tanker.

Police said Hart was driving almost 90 mph, and showed “objective signs of intoxication” and was unable to pass a sobriety test, the Huffington Post reported.

After failing the sobriety test, Hart was booked for misdemeanor DUI, and released from jail six hours later. This is Hart’s first run-in with the law.

Once Hart was released from jail he went on Twitter to apologize but not before cracking some jokes.

In one Tweet Hart said, “When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said ‘WHY WASTE OUR TIME…I’M DRUNK MAN’ ….. #TrueStory”

He then apologized, “On some real sh*t….drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid sh*t this!”

It’s unlikely that Hart will spend any more time in jail for his DUI charge and since admitted publicly that he was drunk at the time of his arrest, it will difficult if not impossible to avoid a conviction, but on the upside he will probably only have to pay a fine and take alcohol education class.

Hart may have learned his lesson from his first DUI arrest, but “That’s so Raven” star Orlando Brown apparently did not.

On Sunday April 7, Brown, 25, was arrested in Los Angeles for suspicion of drunk driving, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was booked into jail on $25,000 bond.

Brown who is known for his role as Eddie Thomas, Raven Symone’s pal on the popular Disney Channel series, has been in trouble with the law before. In August of 2011, Brown was arrested for DUI after he was pulled over for driving without a license plate. Police reports indicate that Brown smelled of alcohol and failed a sobriety test.

When Brown appeared in court he struck a plea bargain with prosecutors, which dictated he would have to complete an alcohol education class to avoid jail time. Despite the court’s leniency, Brown never enrolled in the alcohol education class and failed to pay his fines and court fees.

Last June, Brown was re-arrested for failing to comply with the court’s orders; and just one month later there was another warrant issued because he didn’t show up to an important court appearance related to his arrest.

Brown was also arrested in 2007 by Texas police because he was driving at night without his headlights. Upon searching his car police found 9 grams of marijuana in the driver’s side door.

Since Brown failed to meet his obligations for his first DUI arrest, the court may not be so lenient with him the next time he appears before a judge.

Last month, star of MTV’s Teen Mom Farrah Abraham and rapper Too Short were also arrested for DUI. When will celebrities learn to call a limo or cab when they go out drinking?
