Kent County, DE- A Dover man has been charged with his third DUI after causing an accident that sent motorist to the hospital.
Dover police arrested 35 year-old Antoine Collier on Saturday, January 10th when police noticed he appeared intoxicated while they were investigating a traffic accident near Walker and Saulsbury Roads, Delaware Online reported.
According to police, Collier was traveling at a high speed when he approached an intersection where two cars were sitting. Collier’s SUV struck the rear of a Nissan Altima which was then pushed into the rear of a Jeep.
The driver of the Nissan was injured and received treatment for abdominal and back injuries.
Delaware Online reported that Collier was charged with aggravated vehicular assault and DUI. His DUI charge was upgraded to a felony because it was his third offense.
