The Herald further shares that 78 percent of drunk driving fatalities happened at night during the 2015 Labor Day holiday, opposed to half throughout the rest of the year. Other 2015 DUI statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration include:
- 10,265 people died in drunk driving crashes, up 3.2% from 2014.
- 181 kids age 14 or younger were killed in accidents with a drunk driver.
