Hidalgo, who was planning on moving the next day, was driving a 10-ft. high U-Haul truck which he rammed into the ceiling of the hotel parking deck. The collision caused “significant damage” to the parking structure, according to the Bradenton Herald.

After causing all the damage, Hidalgo fled the scene and hid the truck from police. He was finally taken into custody a couple of hours later when an officer recognized the truck.

Hidalgo, 32, has been charged with DUI, fleeing the scene of an accident with property damage and one count of cocaine possession.
